About Me:

Hi, I'm Jovan Jones. I am one of the work-study employees from UB. I am a sophomore student majoring in Human Services with a minor is Psychology, with the ultimate goal of going into casework. I am from Stratford, and I live at home with my mother, brother, and 2 cats. Some things I like to do are read, do artsy activities, play videogames, and listen to/watch video essays.

Career Aspirations

I want to be a casework and work with black youth, supporting them through their struggles, advocating for their rights, providing them with necessary resource, and leading them down the path to self-sufficiency.

What are you most looking forward to during this workstudy?

I look forward to gaining new skills and experiences as this would be quite different from my previous work experiences. I want to broaden my knowledge and skill set and take on new challenges that develop my being both in and out of a professional context.
